At this point I've already met someone. Have got along great since and at this point no longer need the subscription. Thanks heaps though, this site worked a charm finding people with similar interests. I would say dont change a thing, simplicity is probably one of the good things about this site...not too much advertising banners or too many bars etc.
I have no suggestions for i have found someone great with your site. So I cant say that it can be improved and by the looks of things it is great to chat and make friends overseas, read about horses and other things.
Cupid did its work through your website allright!!! We winked, we emailed, and were intruiged about the other. I flew from the Netherlands to Michigan and we spent time dating. We hit right of. Doug told me later that he knew from the very first date (it was so romantic: dining at the lake and dancing to a live band till late) that he would fall in love and that I was the one for him. We spend great time together, Doug invented the most romantic dates for me and we fell for each other. The songs "Whatever it is" and "I run to you" became our songs and days went bye to fast - it was so hard to leave. Doug gave me an Emerald promise ring with a diamond before I left. The promise of our relation, our love, our bound.
We phoned and emailed again and we really missed each other. A month went bye and I went through a tough time (had to put my Shih-tzu doggie I loved so much to sleep) and I was at my end. Doug was really there for me and wanted to help...

Hi Equestrian cupids,
Cupid did its work through your website allright!!!
Doug was really there for me and wanted to help me and convince me of our true love and the importance of it and bought a ticket for me to spend another 2 weeks together and it took away whatever doubt I could have had and we fell deeply in love. I met his son and family and we spent a lot of time talking and having fun of course too (riding horses, going to horse shows, country fairs, western Tack shops, having fun, doing things, everything was great) and our love grew deep. We had more than a great time togehter and it made me realise and knew for sure, as he did, that our match was meant to be. He had never thought he would meet his match at the other end of the world and I never thought I met my horseman through a website, but your website is the best and I am ever so glad and thankfull for our match.
Before leaving Doug asked me to marry him and I am the most happy and proud woman you can imagine!
He is the greatest, sturdiest but also sweetest, kindest, most thoughtfull and attentive (and most handsome!) man a woman can hope for, a real gentleman, a good horseman (great match there), a great dad to his son, a strong and reliable man and we share the same needs, drive and dream and I feel so honored and lucky to have met him and being asked by him.
I love the US very much and visited many times before, it feels like home to me (and now its gonna be my home, that is so great!), the people, the culture, the nature is so very great, so beautiful, I really love it and finding my true love there is more than a dream come true!
Now we are back to phoning, emailing, skyping etc. again and planning my emigration and trying to find out the best way to get there and get married. I am bringing 2 horses with me so its gonna take a lot of preparation and time (as in the winter they can not be moved). Its gonna be probably next spring or summer to finally be together and get married. Getting a green card is not an easy thing .
Hopefully we can see each other in between with Christmas (the tickets are real expensive and we need all the money for my emigration and our marriage). But, we are strong in our believe, we will make it as our match is true and our love is strong.
So thanks again, for making this match possible and wishing you all the best and all of the members the luck and love we have. As you can see, don't give up: you CAN find your match and Equestrian Cupid can make it work for you - even overseas (and even at our age).
lots of love, Paula
We have found each other (we both found "the love of my life" in each other)on your great website! Now we are trying to get together and fill in a lot of forms and permits (it will take a while, but we are strong in our love) as he lives in the US and I live in the Netherlands (Europe).
Your website made this possible, we would never have met if not for your website and we are so graterfull for it!
Thanks for making it possible!
Wish everyone the best of luck to. Surely you will find it here as we did.
love, Paula and Doug
Advice to other members:
Don't ever give up hope (we are 47 and 49), we live in different countries even, but still found each other through this website - as I am sure you will too.

I have met my husband. Even though we lived miles apart, we met. We visited where we both lived, and got to know each other very well. Im in the nursing profession and left my Illinois home and moved to the beautiful country of North Carolina. We are both true cowboy & cowgirl and fell madly in love. thank you equestriancupid.com
In 2002 I bought my own horse after riding for 10 years at a riding school. She really is my everything, and what makes it so special is that I have a special condition, I have diastrophic dysplasia which means that I'm 3 ft tall and have a stiff skeleton. It's hard to find a "sport" who fits me but horses are really great, and Natalie (my horse) has really made my life brighter. I can really trust her cause she would never hurt anyone on purpose.
I thought I had to lay her down februar06 because she had a huge laminitis-attack but now after 7 months she's back on track and I ride her agaain with no problems. I just wanted to write something cause I'm proud over her. The day when she's no longer with me I'll lose a huge part of myself.
Riding is for everyone.
Michael Ray Wrote to me in november of last year. (08) He called me The Amazon Cowgirl.... and said that if I ever flew down his way, that he'd pick me up with the horses in tow. Anytime. Well, me, not big on Long Distant Relationships, responded back and said that'd be awesome, and perhaps come spring, I may just do that. We exchanged emails a few more times.. and Valentines day I heard from him, sending me Happy Valentine day wishes, and again, the open invitation to fly down and he'd pick me up with three of his best horses in tow.
Again, I thanked him and had planned a trip to florida, where i used to live...
Between then and March ish, I met a local man. A Navy Captain. He was pretty awesome and we shared some good times together. But I just didn't feel that he was in fact "the one"...
Some time went by and thoughts of my cowboyman was never far from my mind. When I ended the relationship with Richard, I emailed Michael Ray. June and july, we IM'd back and...

Some time went by and thoughts of my cowboyman was never far from my mind. When I ended the relationship with Richard, I emailed Michael Ray. June and july, we IM'd back and forth . By August, we began speaking on the phone. I could hardly understand his quiet southern gentle man voice...Well, with my approval, he booked me a flight to Jackson Mississippi to meet, date and ride horses... Beings it was our first face to face, He set me up with my very own camper and three horses that i'd care for during my 6 day stay. Giddy up!! A pure Gentleman. So, our first date began with him picking me up at the airport with horses in tow..So romantic.. Once he delivered me to my camper, we unloaded the horses and off for a ride we went.
The rest is history...
I will be flying down to nashville mid october to a shared camping and horsebackriding vacation for ten days.
I am so thankful to have him find me here, for I really had not had any luck meeting anyone close by.. as it turns out, well, love knows no distance, and with his persistance, I discovered that he is my "Twin Flame"... there is only one per person. We are madly in love and fit perfectly in all ways... A perfect love..And the oddest thing of all, Last month we discovered that we shared the exact same last name...my given name.. cept he has an "s" on his last name.. It was right then and there when I realized that, I had to meet him. No Question!!!
