Quoting dragonlady:
Know where you're coming from, there's been good rain now in our area but really patchy and our patch of dirt doesn't seem to be in the path of any of it, all around us have had between 2 and 5 inches over the past 2 to 3 wks, we've had 20mls not even 1 inch, and really hot days to dry up the little bit of green pick that did come up. On a brighter note hay isn't too hard to get here and for reasonable horse quality, varies from $8 to $10 & $12 top grade, so the show horses look great still. Our local Ag show is on in a few wks so I'm keeping busy working the horses each day.Am guessing you have Q Horses, Cutters, reining, pleasure? I have A.S.H's and Welsh ponies. Campdrafts and teampenning have started for the year but all the events are having trouble getting cattle and 2 penning days have been cancelled and a few drafts also, I also attend a few gymkhanas each year and luckily they don't need to source cattle to run these days. I also have a pinto gelding ch/white tobiano just over 15 hands and take him to local breed shows and whatever Ag shows have classes for him, he's a great little allroundr and does pleasure, hacks, pens, drafts, and is cool to ride in company out on trails.I'm not overly computer literate but if I can work out how to I'll stick up a couple of photos of the boys.
